Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pace bowler Deepak Chahar is all set to rejoin his teammates after having tested negative for coronavirus twice and he has moved to a quarantine period for two-week isolation.
However, Chahar hasn’t started his training with the team prior to the IPL 2020. On the other hand, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who earlier tested positive for COVID-19, is yet to finish his mandatory quarantine period that started later than the pacer.

"Except for the Indian batsman, who is in quarantine, all others have come out. The Indian fast bowler has tested negative twice and is back," Chennai Super Kings' CEO Kasi Viswanathan said to ESPNcricinfo.
However, apart from Chahar and Gaikwad - Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad has started their practice after clearing their third round of testing for the COVID-19 virus. Earlier both Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj tested positive for the deadly virus alongside other 11 members of the CSK camp and the team had to delay their training plan after completing their six-day quarantine period which also included three tests after their arrival on August 21.
Meanwhile, the recovered players will have to go through another negative test before starting their training. As the players have come negative, it came as welcome news for the franchise. On the other hand, the team has already faced a big blow as their key players Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh has pulled out their names owing to personal reasons.
While Raina announced his decision two weeks ago, Harbhajan Singh announced the news on Friday. The 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to start on September 19 and it will be played across three venues - Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi which will conclude on November 10.
