The 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin from September 19 and all the teams have been gearing up to do their best as well.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capital's skipper Shreyas Iyer has said that they are known for playing aggressive cricket. He also added that with the inclusion of two senior India players - R Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane will give them a huge boost as well.
While Ashwin has moved from Kings XI Punjab, Rahane came from Rajasthan Royals. Even they have led their respective franchises as well. On the other hand, after having faced issues, Delhi Capitals qualified for the playoffs last year for the first time since 2012.

"Our brand of cricket has been aggressive and passionate and that's how we are as a team. The addition of Rahane and Ashwin adds a great sense of depth to our side and gives Ricky (Ponting, the coach) and me the option of being flexible with our playing XI depending on the opposition we are playing," Shreyas Iyer shared in a video posted on the official website of IPL.
Iyer led Delhi Capitals quite efficiently last year and missed the final by a whisker.
Rahane has scored nearly 4000 IPL runs and also smashed two centuries as well. Rahane and Iyer will add more stability in the middle order. On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin will provide more stability in the bowling department as well.
Moreover, he is quite efficient with the bat in the lower order too.
"These are both individuals who are highly knowledgable about the game and have captained IPL teams, so as a captain this is an opportunity for me to use their experience and reach out to them whenever I need some help," Iyer added.
The 53-day tournament will begin on September 19 and end on November 10. The cash-rich league will be played across three venues in UAE -- Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
