Mohammad Amir is knocked down by Chicken Pox

|| Desk Report ||
Mohammad Amir’s World Cup hope is hanging on thin air as he has caught chicken pox virus in England. That has ruled him out from the 2nd and 3rd ODI matches against England.
This England series was Amir’s last hope of getting included in the Pakistan world cup squad. Seems like that’s not gonna happen anymore. Amir missed the second ODI against England in Southampton because of virus infection and that virus infection has turned out to be chicken pox.

There are only two ODIs left in the series, on Friday and then Sunday. If Amir doesn’t become fit within Friday it would be almost impossible for him to break into the Pakistan world cup squad, because teams have till May 23 to make changes in their squad.
However, he was in the eleven for the first ODI but then he fell ill on Saturday. If he can’t make a comeback then it would be his third World Cup opportunity missed as he missed 2011 and 2015 world cup due to 5 years ban regarding Lords spot fixing scandal.
Since champions trophy 2017 Amir’s form has been awful. He took only 5 wickets in 15 matches. This England series was his last chance of resurrection but seems like chicken pox has taken that possibility too. On his absence ahead of tomorrow's ODI, Junaid Khan is likely to return and as might Mohammad Hasnain.
