BREAKING: Tamim Iqbal punished

Bangladesh batting star Tamim Iqbal has been fined 5 lac
taka for his comments on the pitch during the Bangladesh Premier League game
against Rangpur Riders.
The Chittagongian player was incredulous at the potato patch turf at the Shere Bangla Stadium and wasn't diplomatic with his words, which got him to trouble. He had a hearing with the BCB officials, where he admitted that he could have phrased his words better.
“You know that I have been asked for hearing for wicket and outfield issue. They have let me know their concern. I think I could have used better word to describe it," Tamim said after the hearing.

"Perhaps I couldn’t describe it well. So this is what I have had said them and they also took the explanation cordially. They told me because I play for Bangladesh, BCB is my guardian and this ground, wicket and outfields are all our assets.
"So I could have used better words and I will be careful with that in future.
“Yes, I can criticise the wicket if it is not good but I have
to tell it using better words. That was what their concern and I agree with
them. I hope in the coming years my accent will be better.”
Nevertheless, his repentance didn't soften BCB's position as they have fined him 5 lac taka.
Brendon McCullum and Mashrafe Mortaza were displeased with the surface and revealed their discomfort, but perhaps their choice of words saved them from any repercussions.
