BREAKING: Sabbir Rahman’s BCB contract terminated

Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman has been exempted from the central contract by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. This news comes as no surprise as there were already whispers in the air that the elegant batsman will have to face a massive penalty for his massive offense.
During a match in the National Cricket League against Rajshahi, Sabbir assaulted a fan off the field after the said fan teased him and also behaved badly with the umpires, showing them a lot of disrespect.

As a result, the match referee reported the incident to the BCB officials, who then transferred it to the disciplinary committee. And now, they have come out with a decision that sees Rahman sacked from the central contract.
He has also been further inflicted with a 6-month ban from domestic cricket as well as a fine of 20 lac taka. This decisions almost certainly guarantees his non-participation in Bangladesh's series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka over the next month.
