Providing an update on Tamim’s health, Director General of the Health Directorate, Prof. Dr. Abu Jafar, and National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Director, Dr. Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, spoke at KPJ Hospital in Savar.
"Tamim’s condition is promising. However, there may still be some medical reactions to his treatment. The effectiveness of the stent placed in his heart also remains uncertain. For these reasons, it is currently unsafe to move him elsewhere," said Dr. Abu Jafar.

He further added, "Tamim will remain under observation for the next three months. His progress or any complications will be monitored closely. If everything goes well, he may return to cricket with the medical board’s approval."

Regarding Tamim’s next steps, Dr. Abdul Wadud Chowdhury stated, "At the moment, he can walk short distances but only with assistance. After 48 to 72 hours of monitoring, he may choose to transfer to a more advanced medical facility. Usually, patients are discharged after five days, but in his case, he will need an additional seven days of complete rest."
According to doctors, Tamim must follow a structured rehabilitation process to achieve full recovery. He needs to gradually transition back to normal life without putting excessive strain on his body.
