“By the grace of Allah, Tamim’s condition has improved. He suffered a heart attack, and as a result, an angiogram, angioplasty, and stenting were performed. Thankfully, the procedure went smoothly, and the blockage in his artery has been completely cleared.”
Tamim fell ill earlier in the morning while playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club in a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match against Shinepukur Cricket Club at BKSP. He was quickly transported to the hospital for medical attention.

"He became unwell around 9:00–9:30 AM at BKSP and was brought here for immediate treatment," the doctor explained.

12 Apr 25Initially, plans were made to airlift Tamim to Dhaka for better medical care. However, after receiving initial treatment, he began to feel better and attempted to return to BKSP, only for his condition to worsen again.
"His condition deteriorated, and he was rushed back to the hospital. At that point, all necessary emergency treatments were administered," the doctor added.
Although his condition has improved post-surgery, doctors caution that he is still not out of danger and requires careful monitoring.
"His condition was critical, and even after the stenting procedure, he remains under close observation. Full recovery will take time, and we are doing everything possible. Please keep Tamim Bhai in your prayers," the doctor urged.
