"Bangladesh has a good chance to do well in the Champions Trophy. If we play our best cricket, nothing is impossible. If I didn’t believe in winning the trophy, I wouldn’t be here," Simmons said.
Despite his optimism about the team’s performance, Simmons admitted that Bangladesh’s preparation for the tournament has not been ideal.

"I agree that this is not the best preparation ahead of the Champions Trophy. However, we have been playing white-ball cricket recently. Now, we will focus on our preparations with a six-day training camp," he added.
Simmons took charge of the Bangladesh team in October after the dismissal of former head coach Chandika Hathurusingha. His contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) runs until the end of the Champions Trophy, and his future with the team remains uncertain.
"I am here until the Champions Trophy. What happens after that, I cannot say at this moment," he stated.
