The Bangladesh squad also kicked off their preparatory camp on the same day, where Mushtaq was seen in action.
For now, Mushtaq will be working with Bangladesh’s spinners only for the Champions Trophy. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to decide on extending his contract for the long term after the tournament. A reliable BCB source confirmed this development to Cricfrenzy.

Mushtaq was first appointed as Bangladesh’s spin bowling coach in April last year, initially on a contract until the T20 World Cup. Later, he continued working with the team on a series-by-series basis.
If everything goes as planned, the Bangladesh team will fly to the Champions Trophy on February 14. Head coach Phil Simmons has already arrived in Bangladesh and has been working individually with several players even amid the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
