The former Bangladesh cricketer was appointed for a two-year term under the selection panel led by Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu. However, he submitted his resignation to BCB’s Head of Cricket Operations, Nazmul Abedin Fahim, on Tuesday.

According to BCB sources, he submitted his resignation with a one-month notice period. In previous interviews, Hannan had expressed his desire to return to coaching, prompting his decision to step down from the BCB position.
Following his retirement from professional cricket, Hannan pursued a career in coaching but later transitioned into selection roles within age-group cricket at the BCB.
