14 Jan 25In his Facebook post, Pothas wrote, “Well, like all good things, this too must come to an end. I’ve had an amazing time with some great people while with BCB. We’ve broken many records along the way and made history and amazing memories. Now to spend some quality time at home and see what the next chapter holds, “
He also wished the Bangladesh cricket team the best for the future, adding, “I wish all at Bangladesh Cricket the very best for an exciting year ahead. I’ll miss you.”
While Pothas cited personal reasons for his resignation, there is speculation that recent changes in the coaching staff might have influenced his decision. Mohammed Salahuddin, who recently joined as the team’s assistant coach, has taken on batting coaching responsibilities, which could have played a role.
Additionally, the departure of head coach Chandika Hathurusingha has reportedly created unease among foreign coaching staff.
