Former Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful decided to put higher base price than Shakib al Hasan for the bat that he will auction to raise fund for corona affected people.
Ashraful decided to put his bat through which he scored a remarkable hundred against Australia in Cardiff, putting a base price of BDT TK Eight Lakh.
Earlier Shakib auctioned his 2019 ICC World Cup bat which he used throughout the tournament and sold it for BDT 20 Lakh, but the base price of that bat was TK Five Lakh.

Ashraful is also expecting that the price will increase more during the auction.
"I have fixed the base price of the bat that I scored a century against Australia in Cardiff to be BDT Eight Lakh and I hope the price will go up from here," said Ashraful.
Though it is still unclear about when the auction will take place but it is understood that Auction 4 Action is doing this auction and are likely to hold the top-order batsman's bat on May 12.
The money from this auction will be donated in the service of the needy people who are in the distress situation due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Another veteran player Mushfiqur Rahim announced to auction his beloved bat through which he has scored his first double century against Sri Lanka.
