Bangladesh’ veteran wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim believes fasting is not an excuse for skipping fitness training.
There are instances when it was observed that players are skipping their training while they are fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

It may also be the case as they are forced to be at their home due to the coronavirus pandemic situation worldwide.
However, Mushfiqur, who is widely known for his dedication and passion for his intense practice and training, is not one of them.
“Fasting can’t be an excuse. Alhamdulillah keep fasting and work hard. Stay safe, stay home and pray for each other,’’ Mushfiqur posted a video of his training session in social media with a similar caption.
In the time of novel coronavirus, which halted everyone's life all around the world, Mushfiqur has also come up with some assistance for the underprivileged people apart from training hard at home.
Mushfiq had already donated the 50 per cent of his monthly salary and in addition helped some vulnerable people by his own. He also donated essential equipment in Bogra district from which he hails. He will put his bat with which he scored his first double century in Test by a Bangladeshi batsman up for auction.
