Former national opener Javed Omar will be barred from being part of any Bangladesh contingent in further ICC events.
Javed was part of the women’s national cricket team that took part in the last edition of ICC World Twenty20 in Australia.

It was learnt that cricket's highest governing body after assessing his movement requested BCB afterwards not to include the opener in any further ICC events following his activities during the tournament.
Javed accompanied the team during the tournament as the manager.
‘’Yes we are informed by ICC not to include him,’’ said a BCB official adding that it was quite unfortunate for them to receive such a request.
Javed, who played 40 Test and 59 ODI’s during his career, is a solid opening batsmen who made his ODI debut for Bangladesh in 1995. Blessed with patience and a sound technique, Omar found the going tough in the ODI format as he struggled to score quickly. At a young age, he was selected to tour England in 1989 and was part of the Bangladesh U-19 squad in the Asia Cup. His consistent performances at the junior level helped him gain selection to the national squad in 1994/95. He had a torrid start to his career and did not feature for the next three years in the squad. He made a comeback in 1998 tri-series featuring India and Pakistan but struggled to create an impact.
