Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain said that he is disappointed for not getting enough opportunity in the longer format.

Mosaddek Hossain has made his debut against Sri Lanka in 2017. From then till now three years have passed and he just got to play only three test matches. Mosaddek Hossain explaining this irony with his words that it's not like he played poor in those three Test matches, in his debut match first innings against Sri Lanka in Colombo he has scored 75 from 155 bowls.

It was the hundred Test match for Bangladesh cricket and Bangladesh won that Test. After one year from the first Test, the right-handed all-rounder gets his second match against the same opponent but this time in home condition in 2018 and again one year later he got his last Test match against Afghanistan in 2019.

"If you see my debut match that I played in Colombo (hundredth test) we won that match. In the first innings, I scored 75, in the second inning 13. Then the next test match I played was about a year later. During this time I did not play bad in first-class cricket," Mosaddek said.

Also, he thinks his lack of Test match could be a reason that Bangladesh play fewer Test matches, "I don't know why but it may be because Bangladesh plays fewer Test matches. Many times I may not be selected because of team combinations. Country is above all. The team management will take decisions on what will be the best for the country. I played the third and last Test match (Afghanistan Test) for the longest time and scored the highest in the team," the right-handed batsman added.

In 2014-15 Mosaddek made 250 and 282 in consecutive first-class innings and passed 1000 first-class runs in his 10th first-class match.

Mosaddek believes in is natural to be disappointed of not getting chances in Test matches while he was regular in ODIs and T20s for the national team.  Also, he thinks that if he had performed and got out of the Test squad then that would have give him a reason, but playing well and not getting chances disappoints him badly.

"Is it unusual to think [that I did not get enough opportunities]  In the three years I've played only three Tests,’’ said Mossadek.

‘’If I had played poorly than that would have been a reason. But as I had played well, I had hoped to play more. It's not my fault," Mosaddek concluded.
