Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan said that England’s Jofra Archer was the toughest bowler he faced in the last edition of ICC World Cup.
ICC World Cup 2019 was a dream coming true for Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The Tigers’ jewel put on such an all-round performance which no cricketer had ever been able to do before. He went on to carry his team on his back as he scored 606 runs just from 8 innings which he complemented with 11 wickets that he picked throughout the tournament.

Shakib came to Facebook live from USA for the first time since his ban to promote his charity organization- Shakib al Hasan Foundation.
‘’It’s a tough question to answer because when you are playing in spin friendly track spinners dominate while in seaming condition pacers are the one to dictate terms,’’ said Shakib on when one fan asked him to name the toughest bowler that he faced so far in his life.
‘’I think Morne Morkell was very difficult to handle considering my experience of playing against him in South Africa when I was just a 19 or 20 years old while as a spinner it is certainly Muttiah Muralitharan,’’ said Shakib adding that he found England pace bowler Jofra Archer as the most difficult one during the World Cup.
In the last World Cup I found Jofra Archer the most difficult one to negotiate,’’ he said, who is waiting to return to cricket after October 29 as the ban will be over.
