Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam is eyeing to claim a spot in the shortest version of the game.
Taijul, who is known to be Test specialist, has been added into all three formats by Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB].
To remove the tagline of being just a Test bowler Taijul is now eyeing to be back in the shortened version of cricket and to mark his spot in the national team for a longer period of time.

The left-handed spinner Taijul has only played two T20I matches wearing Bangladesh jersey. He made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in the 2019 tri-nation series where he managed to get one wicket in his three-over spell giving away 26 runs.
Taijul believes he his lack of pace variation in shortened version of cricket causes him losing the spot from the T20I and ODIs. But right now he believes he can make some changes if he gets the opportunity as he had some good experience in Bangladesh Premier League[BPL], countries biggest franchise cricket tournament, where he had 49 wickets in 64 matches.
"I did not play Twenty20 with the national team a lot but played in the BPL. By the grace of Allah, that has been good. I'll not say bad. If I get a chance in this format in the national team, then I will definitely do my best and will try to stay with the team for a longer period," said Taijul adding that if he uses his skills, intelligence and can read a batsman properly then he will surely get wickets for his team in the shortest format.
''It is true that in the present world, reputed spinners do well in T20s. IPL, Big Bash, CPL and everywhere they are playing and playing well,’’ he said.
‘’They play well so that they be in their respective teams. It seems to me that when I go to play in big tournaments, if I have the skills, intelligence and ability to read a batsman, I don't think it will be a problem for me to get a wicket. I can play on any turf," he concluded.
