Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant 140 runs for North zone and Nayeem Hasan  took 8 wickets for  Islami Bank East Zone in the third round of matches at Cox Bazar stadium.

BCB North Zone was all out for 272 runs in their first innings while Islami bank East zone lost two early wickets and scored only 3 runs.

Earlier BCB North zone has won the toss and elected to bat first.

Mushfiqur Rahim has scored his eleventh first-class hundreds and also set his sight for the test match against Zimbabwe.

North zone has a steady opening partnership of 36 runs between Rony Talukder and Junaid Siddique before Junaid was out for 8 Runs. North zone have lost 3 wickets for 46 runs and lost half of their side for 111 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim than starts to dominate east zone bowling. He single-handedly scored half of North Zone's total score.

Mushfiqur had two important partnerships in the late order for the north zone. He added 74 runs partnership with Mahidul Islam Ankon and 58 runs with Sanzamul Islam.

Mushfiqur was eventually out for 140 runs. He smashed 16 four and one six in his innings.

Naeem Islam scored 31 runs and Sanzamul Islam scored 29 runs for North zone. 

Nayeem Hasan took 8 wickets for Islami bank east zone and give a timely reminder to the selector for including him in the test match against Zimbabwe.
