Bangladesh moves ACC Emerging Teams Cup semifinal

Bangladesh became the unbeaten champion of Group B and grabbed the semifinal spot in Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Teams Cup after crushing Nepal by eight wickets in the at BKSP on Monday.
Nepal was bowled out for 138 and Bangladesh, who beat Hong Kong and India earlier in the group phase, made it a cakewalk, reaching the target in just 24 overs, making 140-2.

Mohammad Naim Sheikh, who hogged the spotlight during Bangladesh’s three-match T20 series against India just few days ago, gave the side a solid start, hitting 45 off 56 with six fours.
Captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto then drove the side towards victory with 56 ball-59 not out, smacking six fours and two sixes.
Pacer Sumon Khan continued his rich vain of form, taking 3-29 to demolish Nepal. Sumon Khan earlier took identical four wickets against Hong Kong and India.
He was ably supported by leg-spinner Minhajul Abedin Afridi, who also took 3-29. Tanvir Islam and Mahedi Hasan grabbed two wickets apiece.
