Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan left the field unexpectedly while batting as he had sustained strain on his left side while batting against Ireland at Dublin on Wednesday.
Shakib, who had sustained the strain a couple of overs earlier, was seen struggling while leaving the crease as his pain recurred and it is possible that it was taken as a precautionary step.

Shakib was batting on fifty and Bangladesh looked not to take any risk with the talismanic all-rounder.
Injury seemed to be following Shakib in the recent past. Shakib was ruled out of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand and the following two Tests after sustaining a finger injury during the Bangladesh Premier League final between Dhaka Dynamites and Comilla Victorians. Shakib copped a blow from Thisara Perera while batting, and it was later revealed that he had suffered a fracture.
Consequently, he was given the no-objection certificate to play in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), but the all-rounder had featured in only couple of games for the Sunrisers Hyderabad before joining the national camp.
