Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club sealed third spot in Dhaka Premier League, after narrowly edged Mohammedan Sporting Club past by three runs in the last round of Super League phase at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium at Fatullah on Tuesday.
After being sent to bat first, Prime Doleshwar put on 274-6 in the stipulated 50 overs. Mohammedan came agonizingly close to overhaul the target before tasting late order collapse to be restricted to 271-9 in 50 overs.

For Doleshwar, Farhad Hossain was the highest scorer with 89. His knock was complemented by Shykat Ai’s 89 and Saif Hassan’s 65. Shafiul Islam took 2-39 for Mohammedan.
Mohammad Ashraful led Mohammedan’s charge with 76 runs but his dismissal sparked a collapse and the Motijheel outfit couldn’t recover from it even though coming close to win the match.
Taibur Rahman was the most successful bowler for Doleshwar with 3-34.
Prime Doleshwar finished the league with 20 points while Mohammedan earned 16 points to end the league on sixth position.
