The technical committee of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) upheld the match referees' decision to award full points to Mohammedan Sporting Club after Brothers Union refused to play in their Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League fixture on April 2. 

A press release of BCB said, the technical committee decided to support match referee Akhtar Ahmad's decision to give the full points to Mohammedan as Brothers' Union refused to even send their batsman out in chase of Mohammedan's total during a meeting recently.

The incident occurred last Tuesday at BKSP-4 ground in Savar. Mohammedan had posted posted 316 for nine in 50 overs before heavy rain during the innings break delayed the scheduled start of play. After match officials eventually deemed the field match ready, they asked both teams to proceed, however, Brothers Union refused to play, citing that the pitch was still wet.

Brothers Union captain Mohammad Sharif said that his side were not officially informed over the game's resumption while they were at dark about the revised target after the rain led to a loss in match time.

The club had then written to the CCDM, requesting a rematch or an equal share of the points but technical committee decided against it and furthermore warned Brothers Union as per the provisions in the Match Playing Condition.
