Rangpur Riders, set to compete in the inaugural Global Super League, have bolstered their squad by adding Pakistan all-rounder Khushdil Shah. Rangpur’s team director Shanian Taneem announced it during the official press conference in Mirpur on Saturday.
The team had previously announced a 14-member squad, featuring nine Bangladeshi players and five overseas recruits.
Khushdil, who played two seasons in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Comilla Victorians, will now play for the Rangpur jersey for the first time. He was directly signed by the franchise before the BPL draft.
His inclusion enhances the team’s balance, as he brings valuable batting prowess along with his left-arm spin bowling.
The Riders have named Nurul Hasan Sohan as their captain, with key contributions expected from Shak Mahedi and Mohammad Saifuddin.
