Nigar, Trisna climb in latest ICC T20I rankings

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana has moved up four places in the latest ICC Women's T20I batting rankings following her impressive performances in the ongoing tri-series in Scotland.

Despite Bangladesh losing their opening two matches against the Netherlands and Scotland, Nigar stood out with the bat.

The wicketkeeper-batter scored 77 runs off the Netherlands, striking one six and seven fours in a narrow eight-run defeat. She followed it up with an unbeaten 46 against Scotland, which included one six and five boundaries.

Her strong showing has lifted her to 20th place in the ICC Women's T20I batting rankings, making her the highest-ranked Bangladeshi batter. Sobhana Mostary also moved up one spot to 46th, while Shorna Akter gained two places to reach 60th.

England all-rounder Freya Kemp recorded the biggest rise among batters, climbing 224 places to 86th. Scotland's Kathryn Bryce also made significant progress, jumping 98 spots to 88th. There were no changes in the top 10, with Australia's Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney continuing to occupy the top two positions.

In the bowling rankings, England spinner Linsey Smith moved up one place to claim the No. 1 spot after an impressive series against New Zealand. Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal slipped to second.

Among Bangladeshi bowlers, leg-spinner Rabeya Khan remains the highest-ranked at 17th. Nahida Akter dropped two places to 32nd, while Sultana Khatun climbed one spot to share 36th position with teammate Fahima Khatun.

Fast bowler Fariha Trisna made the biggest gain among Bangladesh players, rising 15 places to 62nd after taking two wickets against the Netherlands. Fellow pacer Marufa Akter also moved up five spots to 74th, while Shorna Akter advanced one place to 87th in the bowling rankings.
