The tri-series will feature three matches in the round-robin stage, with the top two teams advancing to the final on October 23.
Zimbabwe will open their campaign against Bangladesh on October 17 before taking on Afghanistan two days later. Their final round-robin fixture will be against Bangladesh on October 21.
Sikandar Raza will lead Zimbabwe in both the ODI tri-series and the subsequent three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.
The selectors have largely retained the core of the squad that faced Australia in Harare last month, with Tafadzwa Tsiga and Vincent Masekesa replacing Innocent Kaia and Graeme Cremer in the ODI team.
Tsiga and Masekesa are in contention to make their ODI debuts, while Masekesa has also been included in the T20I squad. Kaia, who is recovering from a thigh strain, is expected to be fit for the T20I series.
Zimbabwe's ODI squad features experienced campaigners Raza, Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor alongside emerging players Ben Curran, Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani. Blessing Muzarabani will lead the pace attack, supported by Brad Evans, Ernest Masuku and Newman Nyamhuri.
Following the tri-series, Zimbabwe will face Afghanistan in three T20Is on October 27 and 29 and November 1. The tour will conclude with two Tests, scheduled for November 5-9 and November 13-17. Zimbabwe's Test squad will be announced closer to the series.
