Bangladesh A produced a powerful batting display to post 194 for 6 in their 20 overs in the first semifinal of the Asia Cup Rising Stars in Doha, after India A opted to field first.

Opener Habibur Rahman Sohan was the backbone of the innings, striking a superb 65 off 46 balls, decorated with 3 fours and 5 sixes.

His aggressive strokeplay provided Bangladesh A with the early momentum. Partner Jishan Alam chipped in with a brisk 26 off 14, helping the side to 43 in just 4.2 overs before falling to Gurjapneet Singh.

Zawad Abrar (13 off 19) and captain Akbar Ali (9 off 10) couldn’t capitalize on their starts, while Abu Hider departed for a duck as Bangladesh A briefly stumbled to 119 for 4.

The innings was then reignited by a breathtaking cameo from SM Meherob, who blasted an unbeaten 48 off just 18 balls, smashing 1 four and 6 towering sixes at a strike rate of 266.66.

His late fireworks took the total close to 200. Yasir Ali added further impetus with a lively 17 off 9 deliveries, remaining not out.

Despite some expensive spells, India A found success through Gurjapneet Singh, who claimed 2 for 39, while Harsh Dubey, Suyash Sharma, Ramandeep Singh, and Naman Dhir chipped in with a wicket each. Vyshak endured the toughest outing, conceding 51 from his four overs.
