Hong Kong name 20-member squad for Asia Cup

Hong Kong has unveiled a 20-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to start on September 9 in the UAE.

Yasim Murtaza will captain the side as they gear up for their fifth appearance in the tournament, having previously featured in 2004, 2008, 2018, and 2022.

Placed in Group B, Hong Kong will open their campaign on the tournament’s opening night against Afghanistan, followed by group-stage fixtures against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

A top-two finish would see them progress to the Super Four stage, where the qualified teams will contest in a round-robin format against the best sides from Group A.
