The decision was taken by BCB President in the best interest of the organisation, the board said in a press release on Thursday.
According to the statement, the move was made under the authority granted to the BCB President by Article 31 of the BCB Constitution to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the board’s operations.
Until further notice, the BCB President will serve as the Acting Chairman of the Finance Committee.
Reiterating its commitment to the welfare of players, the BCB stated that the interests of cricketers remain its top priority and assured that it will continue to uphold the honour and dignity of all players under its jurisdiction.
The board also expressed hope that cricketers will maintain professionalism during this challenging period and continue their participation in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
