After winning the Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, Bangladesh head coach and coaching stuff have not been given the winners medal by the international cricket council.
Normally after a winning world cup coaches are given a medal by the ICC but that did not happen with Bangladesh coaches after junior Tigers clinched the trophy.
World cup winning coach Navid Nawaz has complained to the game development head Khaled Mahmud Sujon about this incident and said that he has no medal to prove that he has won the world cup.
Sujon, who returned home one day earlier, from South Africa was surprised with the incident
‘’I do not know why ICC did this and did not give them any medal. The head coach is very disappointed with this incident .he has told me that he has received no medal. I have no medal to show as I have not received any medals. Other coaching staff member should be given the medals as well,’’ Khaled Mahmud told reporters said in BCB on Thursday.
However Sujon hoped Bangladesh cricket board will talk with the ICC about this incident and hope to give the coaching stuff their medals back as well.
