During the fourth match of the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh's pacer, Taskin Ahmed, sustained an injury, disrupting the team's preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.
Unfortunately, his absence in the final match on Sunday due to a fielding injury has heightened concerns about his potential time away from the field.

After the fifth T20 against Zimbabwe, where Bangladesh lost by eight wickets, Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan Papon stated that they would await the report before making decisions regarding the player's treatment and the announcement of the squad for the T20 World Cup.
“[Taskin] May need to rest for two to three weeks. If it's two weeks, what to do, what to do if it's three weeks—these things have to be discussed. If necessary, we will talk to the doctor in the United States.” BCB president said.
Taskin looked in supreme form during the first four matches of the series, taking eight wickets and winning the player of the series trophy.
The 29-year-old pacer was also asked about the injury while leaving the field. He also could not say anything specific at that time, “Nothing can be said yet. It’s fifty-fifty [playing T20 World Cup].
Taskin played the last ODI World Cup with a shoulder injury. After the tournament, he took a two-and-a-half-month break for rest and rehabilitation.
