Australia regain top-spot of WTC standings, Bangladesh rest on No.5

Australia have reached the top of the World Test Championship 2023-25 points table with their eight-wicket win over Pakistan in Sydney.
The Aussies replaced India at the top, who had attained the number one position following a record win against South Africa earlier this week.
They now have 56.25% points from eight Tests. Pakistan, who lost the series 3-0, are now sixth with 36.66% points.
Australia achieved significant success last year, winning their first WTC Final against India, drawing the Ashes 2-2 away, and securing their sixth world title in November. All of this occurred under Pat Cummins' leadership.
On number three, England registered two wins, two losses and one draw in the Ashes but have only nine points to show for it, as they faced a 19-point penalty for slow over-rate.
Followed that South Africa are currently standing on fourth position their next assignment will be two-match Test series in New Zealand in February.
Bangladesh sits at number five with one win and a loss.
