PCB warns ACB to control crowd, players’ behaviour in T20Is

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi has warned Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) to keep their players' behaviour in check during the upcoming T20I series.
The two sides had last time faced-off in Asia Cup 2022, where Pakistan's Asif Ali and Afghanistan fast bowler Fareed Ahmed had a heated exchange during the last stages of the match. Later, it spread into the crowds among the two-nation spectators.
“I had a chat with Afghanistan officials in Dubai about crowd control and their players’ behavior. What is the guarantee regarding managing your fans and players, because past experiences haven’t been good,” Sethi said.

“We told Afghanistan Board to control their players. Winning and losing is part of the game. We have experience with regards to winning and losing, so we can control our emotions, but they are new [to international cricket], so they need to keep their players in check,” he added.
After the aforementioned match, Afghan fans were seen hitting Pakistan fans with chairs as their team lost a close encounter.
“There were two assurances given. UAE authorities have made a new plan, in which they will try their best that Pakistan fans and Afghanistan fans won’t sit together in the same stand,” Sethi said.
“In addition to that, strict action will be taken against rowdiness from people. There will be strict security in Sharjah,” he added.
