Mehidy Hasan Miraz said it now feels good to be able to say that Bangladesh has defeated all the teams across three formats of the game after his match-winning performance in the second T20I on Sunday.
As Bangladesh defeated England by four wickets to win their first-ever bilateral series against the T20 world champions, Miraz grabbed his career-best bowling figure in Twenty20 international matches and contributed 20 crucial runs.
"This is our first series win against England, that too in T20. They are the world champion. It feels good to beat the world champions," Miraz said in his post-match press conference.
"More importantly, we don't play many matches against them. This was our first bilateral T20 series against them and we won. This is a huge achievement for us" he added.

When asked if winning this series was more memorable than defeating Australia and New Zealand at home in 2021, Miraz responded that winning against any team feels the same.

"At the end of the day, Bangladesh won. It doesn't matter who the opponents are. We all won, and that makes us happy. All the people are happy today - the players, the people of Bangladesh, the team management - everyone," he added.
"When we beat Australia, or when we beat New Zealand, it's Bangladesh who wins eventually."
The only team Bangladesh had never defeated in a bilateral series was England. In T20I matches, the Tigers have defeated teams like Australia, New Zealand, and the West Indies, while in ODI matches, they have defeated South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and others. And now the Tigers hunted down the Three Lions.
"Now we've won series against all the teams across formats. England were the only team whom we couldn't reach, but now we have beaten them as well. It really feels good. Now we can tell that we've won the series against each team in the game," Miraz added.
Shakib Al Hasan, the team's captain, praised the team's effort after the historic series win.
"I thought we bowled really well as they had a very good start given the condition, but we kept our nerves. Overall it was a good team effort. In a tricky game like this, it was important to keep our nerves. I think Shanto batted really well along with Miraz, who returned to the T20 side and scored crucial 15-20 runs. He bowled really well too and all the bowlers did well," said Shakib during the post-match presentation ceremony.
