England cricket team were scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on February 20 to participate in a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series, however, there has been a change in the England team's itinerary on arrival in Bangladesh.

In the latest development, the English Lions will set foot in Bangladesh on February 24, apart from this, two practice matches have also been canceled with the agreement of the two boards. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Operations Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed the matter to Cricfrenzy on Sunday.

“England is not coming on February 20. They will come to Bangladesh on February 24 as the practice matches have been canceled. Apart from that, there is no change in the schedule. The bilateral series will start from March 1.” Jalal said.

The tour will begin with two ODIs on March 1 and 3 at the Sher-e Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur and then will move to Chattogram for the third ODI and the first of the three T20I matches on March 6 and 9 respectively.

As per routine inspection, a two-member England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) delegation earlier came to Bangladesh for inspection in Dhaka and Chattogram.

BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury told the media about the cancellation of the warm-up match.
