Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim is delighted to play under Bangladesh’s legendary captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza for Sylhet Strikers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Imad previously played with Tiger’s most successful captain in Comilla Victorians.
“I played with him (Mashrafe) before under his captaincy. Great man. Legend. Obviously played so much for Bangladesh international cricket. Served his country with dignity and pride. So really happy to play under him once again,” said to Cricfrenzy on Thursday before the start of Chattogram phase.

The new owner based franchise Sylhet have dominated the first part of the ninth BPL as they won all the four game in Dhaka. Imad is hopeful to continue the winning momentum in the rest of the tournament.

“Just to play good cricket, winning and losing is a part just to play the right way how we are playing. So In Shaa Allah, hopefully we continue the right way to play T20 cricket and hopefully the result goes in our way,” he added.
The Pakistan star set to lead Karachi Kings in the eighth edition of the upcoming Pakistan Super League later in February.
Imad played his last game for his country back in 2021 but not thinking about Pakistan comeback right now as he is focusing only in BPL right now.
“Not thinking about Pakistan come back. The job I've been given is BPL, so I'm totally focusing on BPL, not worrying about what's going to happen afterwards. So when it happens, it happens. If it don't, then I'm happy playing league cricket” he further added.
Sylhet will lock horns with Dhaka Dominators on 16th January at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
