Bangladesh all-rounder Rumana Ahmed is confident and believes the Tigresses can capitalize on their spin power to down Pakistan in their next fixture of the Asia Cup.

“I think, they play spin very well. But we were able to restrict them with spin. Our spinners are doing better than what we used to do. Spinners are giving their best in the recent matches that we have played. Our spin is enough to beat Pakistan here as well,” told Rumana.

“We are confident with our spin-attack. Both pace and spin make a team a strong side against opponents. But I believe spin is our core strength,”

The South Asia sub-continent has always offered spin-friendly wickets for the bowlers, meanwhile, the spinners scalped 29 out of 32 wickets in the first three matches of the Asia Cup.

“The wicket and condition seemed to be spin friendly. Our pacers have done well in South Africa, and New Zealand, however, in Bangladesh, it has been observed that spinners always doing well. The spell of Salma Apu, whom we consider to be the best bowler in the world, is extraordinary,” she added.
