Tamim makes surprise visit to Mirpur

Bangladesh historic captain Tamim Iqbal lauded Ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan for his courage and sacrifices while he is going through family emergencies back in the country.
Tigers have created history as they registered a nine-wicket victory to clinch a maiden series away to South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion Wednesday.
Shakib stayed back in South Africa to play the crucial third ODI, after initially deciding to return home where several of his family members, including his children, are in hospital due to various illnesses.
“For Shakib to come and play here was massive. His daughters, his mother and his mother-in-law are in hospital. That shows his character. So I want to thank him for coming here and playing for us” Tamim said in the presentation.

However, Shakib is expected to return home tomorrow [Thursday] and miss the opening Test against the hosts.
The Southpaw, however, is supposed to return to South Africa to play the second Test.
Tigers are currently on top of the ICC CWC Super League with 120 points from 18 matches.
"We take a lot of pride in ODI cricket, we believe we are a good side. This is one format where we have been doing well in the last 5-6 years. Winning a series overseas was missing, but we have managed to do that this time," Tamim added.
