Abahani clinch DPL title after beating Mohammedan in final-day showdown

Prime Doleshwar sporting club won against Gazi Group cricketers by 36- run margin in Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division T20 League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
In chase of mediocre target of 145 runs, Gazi Group were all-out for 108 runs. The top-order failed to stretch a good start for the team as the wickets were falling at regular intervals. Captain Mahmudullah Riyad (0) was bowled by Sharifullah and returned for a naught. While, Mominul Haque was castled by Shamim Hossain.
Ariful haque was the highest scorer for the side who scored 37 runs off 34 balls, hitting one four and two sixes. Shamim, Enamul Haque jnr and Sharifullah took two wickets each and Farhad Reza, Rajaur Rahman Raja got one wicket each.
Earlier, winning the toss Prime Doleshwar opted to bat first, they scored 144 losing six wickets. Last match hero Imran Uzzaman returned early to the dressing room, scoring 10 runs.
Then Saif Hassan (37) and Fazle Mahmud Rabbi (39) controlled Doleshwar's initial push with a great partnership in the third wicket. However, the duo fell prey to Mahmudullah, then Shamim Hossain took the team forward.
He also departed with a catch to the fielder off Mukidul Islam. Nasum Ahmed, Mahmudullah and Mukidul bagged two wickets each.
