Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given a 21-man preliminary squad for the two Tests in Sri Lanka on Friday as Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are out of the squad due to their Indian Premier League (IPL)’s participation.
Before boarding the plane on Monday, the entire team started training at 10 am in Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla for the last time. After the practice session, Test Skipper Mominul Haque said the absence of Shakib-Mustafiz will not affect Sri Lanka Series.

“No, I don't think the team will not have results without Shakib Bhai or Mustafiz. You see, there are more players. They [Shakib-Mustafiz] don't have 10-12 hands. The rest do not have 10-12 hands. I don't think it has any effect. We may not be able to play as a team, which is why we are not getting positive results. Nothing else” said Mominul to the media.

Kolkata Knight Riders have picked Shakib for INR 3.20 crore from this year's IPL auction as his might feature in their first match today [Sunday]. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royal has picked Mustafiz for INR 1 crore for this year’s extravaganza.
The two Test matches between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium near Kandy. Bangladesh will play their first Test there even though they have played ODIs and T20s before. The first Test will start on April 21, the second Test on April 29.
