Sri Lanka’s Shehan Madushanka arrested for drug possession

Srilanka police have arrested young pace bowler Shehan Madushanka on a charge of carrying heroin officials said Monday.
Madushanka who had a dream against Bangladesh in 2018 where he picked up a one day international in 2018
He was carrying just over two grams of heroin when detained in the town of Pannala on Sunday, a police official said.
Madushanka, was remanded in custody for two weeks by a magistrate.
The 25-year-old was stopped by the police while he was driving his car with another person during a nationwide curfew due to the Covid-19 pandemic
He also played two T20 matches against Bangladesh in 2018 but has not played an international match since due to injuries.
Madushanka dismissed Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain and allrounder Mahmudullah off three successive balls to close out the tournament.
