On 18 November 2024, an altercation broke out between players on both sides in the middle of the field after the Super League game between Tejgaon Cricket Academy and Sapphire Sporting Club, which took place at the PKSP Ground – 1.

Following a thorough investigation and review of the visual evidence from the incident, the Technical Committee of CCDM found Tejgaon Cricket Academy players Yeasin Arafat, Md Rifat Al Emon (Anik), Tasin Ahmed Ronobi, Md Rabbi Hasan, Md Parvez Ahmed Joy, official Robin and Sapphire Sporting Club’s Md Rana Khan, Saiful Islam Shawon and Md Hridoy guilty of a Level 4 offence under Article 2.19 of the BCB Code of Conduct, which addresses any act of violence on the field of play during a match.

Level 4 offences carry severe penalties, with a maximum life suspension. After careful deliberation, the CCDM has imposed a one-year ban on all nine individuals from participating in BCB competitions. Each has also received a minimum applicable fine of Taka 50,000/= (fifty thousand taka).

BCB President Faruque Ahmed has reiterated the BCB’s position on acts that contravene the Code of Conduct: "The BCB will not be lenient on disciplinary issues at any level of domestic competitions. Let this be a message to all players and officials that the Board will strictly deal with breaches of the Code of Conduct."
