New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel heaped praises on Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam for his performance in the ongoing Test match.
Taijul grabbed four wickets on day 4 to rattle down New Zealand’s batting order during their chase as the visitor reeled on 117-7. The left-arm spinner also claimed a four-for in the first innings.

Ajaz credited the bowlers for their consistency with the ball and said it was challenging for them to adapt to the pitch.

“I suppose their bowlers have bowled very disciplined and put the ball in good areas and asked us good questions for long periods and, it's always challenging in the subcontinent with the amount of spin and we've just got to make sure that we have a sound game plan and tackle the bowling,” said Ajaz.
“Yeah, he's bowled well. I mean, obviously, he's played a lot of cricket and he's definitely a very, very skilled bowler and fair credit to him, he put the ball in good areas for long periods of time and he bowled really well,”
Bangladesh are three wickets away to seal their maiden Test win at home against the Blackcaps.
