Tamim Iqbal expresses heartfelt gratitude to all after returning home
28 Mar 25Members of the Bangladesh national women's team visited the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) office to receive the cash prize that had been promised by the national cricket governing body in exchange for their team's victory in the SAFF Championship.
Although the title was won in September of last year, there were issues with the transfer of the Tk 50 lakh prize money.
As 6 months have passed, the Cricket Board has issued a new check and handed it over on Thursday (April 6). BCB has given a total prize money of 51 lakh Taka by increasing 1 lakh Taka for adjustment from the previously announced prize money.

Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of BCB and Jalal Yunus, chairman of cricket operations, presented the SAFF championship-winning team with a check.

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) claimed to be in the dark about the reward money, but BCB revealed yesterday that the check had been prepared for some time.
“The check was issued last October. 6 months have passed. We issued a new check and handed it over to them,” Jalal said the delay was due to a lack of communication.
“There was a communication gap with them. We wanted to give it last year. They were busy too. We also communicated several times. They could not make time, we also could not hand over the check” he added.
Today [Thursday], Golam Rabbani Choton, the coach, and three other players, including captain Sabina Khatun, visited the BCB offices to claim their reward.
