Two Bangladeshi umpires included in Women's ODI World Cup Qualifier panel

Bangladeshi umpires Masudur Rahman Mukul and Shathira Jakir Jessy have been named in the umpiring panel for the upcoming ICC Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers. The ICC announced the list of match officials today, which includes 10 umpires and 3 match referees.

Mukul has officiated in various ICC tournaments over the years, including the 2020 and 2024 ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cups.

Meanwhile, Jessy has officiated in two women’s ODI matches so far, and this will be her first appearance as an umpire in a major ICC tournament.

Host nation Pakistan will have Faisal Khan Afridi and Salima Imtiaz in the umpire panel. Other umpires include Donovan Koch (Australia), Babs Gcuma (South Africa), Candace La Borde (West Indies), Sarah Dambanevana (Zimbabwe), Shaun Haig (New Zealand), and Dedunu De Silva (Sri Lanka).


The match referees for the tournament are Ali Naqvi (Pakistan), Trudi Anderson (New Zealand), and Shandre Fritz (South Africa).



The six-team Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifier will be held from April 9 to April 19 in Pakistan. The top two teams from the tournament will secure a place in the 2025 ICC Women's ODI World Cup.
