Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain said that he is eyeing for a slot at the top of the order in the batting line up of Tigers in white-ball cricket as he is confident to cement the place provided given enough opportunities.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, all cricketing event of Bangladesh Cricket Board has been postponed for an indefinite period.
Many players were eyeing to make a spot in the national team by playing well enough in the DPL. Like Mosaddek Hossain who was looking forward to making his comeback in the national team through DPL, after his two months of injury while playing in Bangladesh Premier League [BPL].

Mosaddek who bats regularly in the top order in the domestic competition do not have the same luxury in the national set-up as he has to play in the role of a finisher.
‘’The despairing thing is that in the domestic league, I bat above. If I had opportunities from that position in five or ten matches then I could have prove myself. And then if I played bad then I wouldn't be disappointed, I can say to myself that due to playing bad I have been placed in this position,’’ said Mossadek.
In domestic cricket, I usually bat at five. If I had a chance in this position then I could have proved myself[ in white-ball cricket]. I've been playing in the national team for about four years. If I am not wrong, then in one or two matches, I have had a chance to bat in top order,’’ he said.
The all-rounder also said he always puts team interest first rather than thinking of his personal average when he bats.
''During the World Cup, I talked to Shakib Bhai many times. Shakib Bhai agrees with me that if I had batted for myself, then I would have scored two or three fifties. But I thought about the team,’’ he said.
‘’Then again, it would have been an act of crime if I had thought of myself at that time. I might have got 10 or 12 overs. Then it is not possible to score 60 or 70 run’’ she concluded
