Shakib enters IT business

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan stepped into IT business as he launched A2 Arena that will distribute WardWiz, an established brand from Germany in the IT security solutions in Bangladesh.

AU Khan Jewel chief executive officer of A2 Arena told reporters about the development on Saturday adding that he is delighted to have him as their chairman largely due to the fact he is very keen on IT sector.
"Shakib was our brand ambassador when I worked with Norton in 2011. At that time we had a huge mileage with the Norton product, which was also an anti-virus. Since then we [Shakib] built up a relationship like a younger and older brother. Then when he had a ban from cricket, I used to meet him often. Then I offered him to launch this company,’’ he said adding they decided to launch it after the German based company agreed that the software will be made in complete Bengali language.
"WardWiz is not just an anti-virus product. On desktops, laptops or smart-phones it will provide various benefits besides anti-virus as well as file recovery, registry optimizer, temporary file cleaner. It will also protect against online malware, ransomware, and other security threats. With parental control features, childrens digital life can be controlled and also can be protected from various digital threats," Jewel concluded.
