Shakib looking forward to 2023 World Cup

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said that he is confident that if Bangladesh can nurture the present crop of national cricketers they will reach far in the next ICC World Cup, slated in 2023.
The ICC Cricket World Cup-2019 went like a dream journey for Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The Tigers’ jewel cemented such an all-round performance that no cricketers had ever been able to do before, as he went to carry his team on his back alone-scoring 606 runs just from 8 innings which he complemented with 11 wickets that he picked throughout the tournament. But the end story didn’t not go similarly well for his team.
Though Shakib, a person with high a very sharp intelligence of cricket, has already pictured a Bangladesh team which will be more perfectly tuned when they will be gearing up for 2023-ICC World Cup in India just after three years down the line.

The Bangladesh all-rounder who has been suspended by ICC from all sort cricket since October, 2019, is currently spending his time in the United States with his family.
During the lockdown period due to coronavirus pandemic, Shakib had brought out some time to answer a few questions, asked by his fans on Instagram.
While asked about the 2023 World Cup, Shakib said that he is not too worried about performing well.
“We don’t need many things. I think we have what we need with the players we have in the team now,” said Shakib.
“(Though) They need to be nurtured. Need preparations. Then I think we will be able to go into the World Cup as a very good team,” Shakib added.
Shakib also said wickets in multi-national tournaments are mostly batting-friendly and it will be same in the next World Cup.
“We will be playing in India. They have a similar condition like us. Though condition does not matter in ICC events. Wickets are mostly good and batting friendly, it was same in 2015 and 2019” said Shakib.
