Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque and veteran opener Tamim Iqbal ranked their careers most favourite Test innings so far as the former claimed that his century against Chandika Hathurusingha Sri Lanka and the latter insisted making the only century against England in 2016 Test as their best one so far.
Every cricketer do have their favourite innings and it was no different for Mominul and Tamim both of whom explained their logic behind choosing those respective innings as their favourite ones to a leading Bengali daily.
For Tamim his best highest Test score 206 runs against Pakistan in 2015 in Khulna is not at the top position but the 104 from 147 balls innings from 2016's Test series against England in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium is his most favourite innings in his career.

Tamim said that he usually don't watch his own innings that much but whenever he watches he mostly watch the century of him in the match against England in 2016 where others failed to deliver as the wicket was difficult to bat on and so he picked this over his double-ton.
"2016's century against England is my most favourite innings in Test. It is favourite for two reasons. First of all, it was tough to bat on that wicket and secondly that was the first Test which we won against England," said Tamim.
"In that innings, I had one-two or even three deliveries per over where I could have been got out. The wicket was too difficult to bat. In the whole series, no batsman from each team didn't get any century. So to me, the value of that century is like having a double century," Tamim concluded
The century against Chandika Hathurusingha's Sri Lanka was special for Mominul not that he was axed by Hathurusingha when he was the coach of Bangladesh team but Mominul wanted to do something better.
Mominul had to wait for three long years from 2014 Zimbabwe series to 2018 Sri Lanka series. Which is why Mominul was optimistic to do something better. Mominul picked his 176 from 214 ball innings as the most favourite innings till now.
“I really wanted to do something good against Hathurusingha's team. But it wasn't like showing something to him, rather, the urge to do good was greater. If you look at the statistics, you will see I have not had a century in international cricket in the last three years. That is why Chattogram's first-innings century against Sri Lanka is the most favourite to me,” said Mominul.
"At that time I was a little under pressure because I didn't score a big run for a long time; also was in danger situation. After the century in the first innings, everything becomes easier again," He added.
