Mushfiqur’s T20 knock one of the best I’ve ever seen - James Foster

Khulna Tigers head coach James Foster heaped a shower of praise on Mushfiqur Rahim as he termed his 51 ball-96 runs knock that led the side to an incredible five-wicket win over Rajshahi Royals as the best T20 knock he has ever seen in his life.
Thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim, Khulna Tigers chased down Rajshahi ‘s 189-4 effortlessly, reaching the winning mark of 192-5 in 19.4 overs. In doing so, Mushfiqur stripped off Rajshahi’s unbeaten tag and instead kept his side unbeaten after two matches in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL).
“ It was a magnificent chase. I thought the way we went as a batting unit was exceptional. But it’s always really gonna have to be based around a phenomenal innings and for Mushy, he was the guy for us today,” Foster said.
“That was one of the best T20 innings I have seen. Specially being two down with not too many [runs] in the powerplay, that’s a phenomenal innings. As a team, we are very delighted being in this situation that we are in. It was a very good wicket but still a very good chase,” he added..
With the side two runs away for the victory, Mushfiqur got dismissed, trying to hit a boundary and thereby reached his maiden T20 century.
Foster said despite not finishing the game by own won’t take the gloss off what he did.
“That was a great innings. As players and coaches, sometimes you don’t play many innings like that. Mushy is a wonderful player and that was a match winning innings,” he revealed.
