With his immense six-hitting prowess, Andre Russell time and again proved he could change the complexion of any game at any moment.
In the recent years, he struck more sixes than any other players, even more than his compatriot, Chris Gayle and the world got a glimpse of his amazing muscle power with which he struck sixes effortlessly during the last year’s IPL.
Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, Russell won the match for the side from a position when even the KKR players gave up the hopes of winning the game. And he won that with such ease that left the whole world stunned with utter disbelief.

When Russell hit sixes with such ease, Bangladeshi batsmen found them in vulnerable state when it is a matter of striking sixes in T20 game. It is one of the reasons that they remain an ordinary side in the shortest format of the cricket.
But Russell has the idea of what could make Bangladeshi batsmen strong like him and hit sixes like him.
He though quipped but gave the recipe: “For Bangladesh guys, I just say eat more dumpling, yam and banana, and get strong.”
However, he said he was keen to play here when he heard that a tournament, namely Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) is launched in Bangladesh with a new set of rules.
“The tournament is more fun. It is shorter. So less time away from home. I get a lot of love here. The hospitality and everything is amazing. You get a warm welcome on this side of the world. I never really think twice. Once I heard this was happening, new rules, new teams, new owners, new franchise. I was interested to be part of it. I wanted to get the ball rolling,” he remarked.
